Eberl family WWI-era letters, 1905-1926
Approximately 600 letters, feldbriefs and feldpostcartes to and from Alois, Gottleib Jr., and Max--three sons serving in the German Army--and their family. Many letters are from France, approximately 130 of which are from Gottlieb Jr. written from an English POW camp.
Edith autograph book, 1881-1887
Rememberances, poems and acknowledgments written to Edith in Dresden, Dusseldorf, Auteuil and Paris, 1881-1887. Dated from internally recorded dates; title page: photograph with inscription, "a present (in part) to his Dear Edith on her birthday by her Grandfather"; inscriptions, sketches, music, and flower paintings in various hands.
